Internships

Global Policy Group® (GPG) selects a small number of interns to work on a full- or part-time basis during the academic year and the summer.

Interns are a vital part of the GPG team.  They help research and write papers and memos for clients and perform other research tasks as needed.  Internships at GPG are substantive and not administrative positions.

Research topics for interns include U.S. regulatory, legislative, and economic issues of interest to our international business clients.  Energy, environmental, climate change, transportation, and international trade issues are major focal points.

In addition to research and writing, interns attend Congressional hearings, policy briefings, and think tank meetings.

A GPG internship provides solid value to graduate or undergraduate students with interests in policy analysis and its impact on business.  Interns work closely with GPG principals.  Past interns have found their GPG internship complemented their academic studies with real-world knowledge and experience.

GPG interns have gone on to work on Capitol Hill, in the White House, and at the departments of State and Treasury.  Others have gone on to successful careers in international development, business, law, and consulting.

Candidates should be graduate or undergraduate students with interest in and knowledge of politics, history, economics, or a related field.  Equally important are outstanding research, analytical, and writing skills.
