Douglas Bergner, President and a founding partner of
Global Policy Group®, consults with clients on: U.S. economic, trade, and financial policies; legislative and regulatory issues; U.S. relations with Europe and Asia; and business-government relations.
Mr. Bergner previously was Director of SRI International's Office of Policy Programs, a research and consulting practice that analyzed the impact of government policy on international clients. He was earlier in charge of international public affairs and government relations at the Public Affairs Council, a Washington-based industry association. He also previously administered State Department-funded international political exchanges and worked at the Atlantic Council of the United States. Mr. Bergner has also been an Adjunct Professor of International Business Diplomacy at Georgetown University.
Mr. Bergner holds an M.A. in International Affairs from Johns Hopkins University's Nitze School of Advanced International Studies and a B.A. in Government and International Relations from Carleton College, and has studied at the University of Bonn, Germany, and the College of Europe, Bruges, Belgium.
Ian C. Graig
Ian Graig, Chief

Dr. Graig previously was Program Manager and Senior Policy Analyst at SRI International, where he worked on single-client and multi-client corporate consulting projects. He had earlier directed the policy/legislative group of Tanaka Ritger & Middleton, a Washington international trade law firm. Dr. Graig also worked as a non-governmental organization representative at the United Nations, and in the national press office of the Carter-Mondale presidential campaign.
Dr. Graig holds a Ph.D. and an M.A. in Foreign Affairs from the University of Virginia and a B.A. in Government from Hamilton College, and has done advanced work at Tufts University's Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy.
